Building Regulations Plans and Applications

Most building works (with a few exceptions) require Building Regulations Approval. We prepare building regulations applications for all types of project.

The Building Regulations Full Plans Application process requires the production of fully detailed plans providing details of how the regulations will be complied with, detailed specifications and structural calculations. The Local Authority then review the plans for compliance with the Building Regulations and providing the plans are compliant (and complete) they permit work to proceed in accordance with the plans. The Local Authority inspects the work as it proceeds at various stages.

GPO Designs typically take three weeks to complete a Full Building Plans Application and Local Authorities take around five to eight weeks to review and approve the plans. For urgent jobs please ask us about our Fast Track Service.
