New Boutique Hotel, Chelmsford

An example of a recent project for a new boutique hotel on a greenfield site in Chelmsford, adjacent to an established restaurant. Planning permission was obtained in June 2020

Brasserie, Chelmsford

Redevelopment of a former shop to create a new brasserie with raised outdoor decking.

Conversion of 17th Century Essex Barn to Brewery Tap Room and Kitchen

Listed building consent for 17th century Essex barn conversion to brewery tap room and kitchen with additional extension

We first worked with the client on this building in 2015 obtaining planning permission and listed building consent, followed by building regulations approval to restore the derelict 17th Century barn for use a micro brewery, taproom and kitchen. The works won a Maldon District Council Conservation Design Award in 2016.

The business rapidly grew and in July 2018 we were invited back obtained further planning permission and listed building consent for an extension to create a restaurant area.
